I liked each previous version, but this one is it. The form is as solid as a sculpture and yet very dreamy. This is one of my favorite of your paintings. bd
Thanks for posting the reference photo and the subsequent stages of the painting. I sooo understand "well, I'll just tinker with it for JUST a little bit". Your tinkering made a good painting better...congrats!
Thank you DJ, Bruce and Dana. I just wanted to show that I didn't just look at my reference photo and completely change it on the spot, that it was a ... no... I can't say it... I won't say... JOURNEY! Nope, won't say it, that word is just *way* too overused! :) But it was a process for sure. And now, on to the Jefferson Memorial... hmmmmm. I got nuthin', hope everyone else is feeling more inspiration?
Love this portrait Camille, the soft colours yet a really structured framework. It's wonderful how you have "interpreted" the photograph in your own unique way.

Hey Camille. I like it. I loved that you used the reds. Its very surreal and toherworldly.
Cool! I love surrealism and otherworldlyism. Thank you, Ms. Donna.
I really like where you went with the portrait! It's really quite striking.
