This was a major project! Well done. It seems very casual and relaxed.

Thank you Bruce, Madeline and Shelly :) I've been told he should see it for the first time in person because it just looks better in person. He hasn't seen it since it was just pencil sketching as far as I know. And his parents haven't seen it at all, so I hope they will all be pleasantly surprised! Thanks for the feedback, you guys.

Wow..... Camille, this is amazing!!!! I love the composition, the colors the way you having us looking at his toe tapping with that extra shadow under his foot. Wow. Now a painting like this is going into my wish jar. Thank you for you kind comments on my blog. You don't know how much it means to me. (((HUGS))) back to you and an extra one for your sister.

This is great Camille. I like the play of dark and light colors against one another. I also like how you kept it nice and loose with soft edges.
You inspired me. Yesterday, I took some photos of my son Mick while he was playing his guitar.

Camille, this is brilliant, he is going to love it. Like I said before, tremendous movement and now you've added a beautiful background that focuses the viewer entirely on Zach. Great job!

Sheila, Maggie and Vern, hearing what you like made all the work worthwhile. And he did get to see it last night and he "LOVES" it! He really raved about it (of course what else can he say) but I do think he's content with it and likes being memorialized that way. Now, I just hope it will eventually end up in some Austin bar where he played a lot. But they'll have to pay me a big you-know-what-load to have it. :) Actually I guess his parents will have it until then. Uh oh, I'm rambling again.

Dominique, you are so sweet to me. I want to scan that incredibly kind comment of yours and make a big banner out of it for over my mirror. (or my house?) :D

Rick, you are a wonderful discovery and I hope everyone who reads this will click on your name and visit your blog and see all you've done -- fantabulous! (hook 'em!)
