Hooray for moving on! This is a wonderful interpretation, Camille! The exagerated perspective and color are great!!
I started mine today and am loving the process so I will probably spend another day on it...a long time for me!
I guess you have no choice but to move on the city is closing up on you. lol
Great colors and interesting take on this challenge.
I like how everything is tumbling over like dominoes falling, great colors too.
Love your take on this...your creativity shines like a diamond. The curved perspective and vivid colors are so cool. I haven't even started mine yet. You've really set the bar high!
Beautiful brushstrokes and awesome skewed perspective! It looks like you had great fun with this, what size is this?
Angela, it's 20 x 16. I only spent about three hours on it and I think that shows, but I did enjoy myself.
Thank you guys for letting me know what you think!
Camille, this painting is vibrant and energetic. A lifetime of artistic skill went into those three hours. I've never seen a cityscape done like this before. Your colors and tones are perfect.
Wonderful! The sense of movement and the play of colors are fabulous!
I love this, Camille! I can always tell when you just let loose and paint in a creative frenzy because the results are so exuberant and wonderful. This is no exception. Congratulations on a beautiful painting!
This is wonderful, Camille - the title is perfect for it. Great job!
Camille,
Always different always very special and wonderful.
And you came up with the perfect title.
Good luck with the portraits.
Great colors and design!
Love the colors and the "falling" feeling.
I didn't see the title at first, but that was definitely my thoughts when viewing your composition. Excellent interpretation!
Yesterday, when we were talking about this challenge, I thought you said it was a "seascape". Ugh! My listening skills are deteriorating rapidly!
Love the vibrancy that you have captured in this one. Fantastic!
I love the title--and it seems as if the cab in the center provides stability for the city around it.
Fabulous! Great sense of traffic tension. Love the primary interplay.
VERY nice indeed. I love the way those buildings are leading you down the street. Very clever and beautifully handled.
Hey Camille,
I just wanted to let you know I have awarded you with the Kreativ Blogger Award on my blog! You can see it: here. Congrats! :)
Awww, Christine, thank you! You know what a sticker whore I am -- I donated that car just so Sheila would give me the Shelter Animals Donor one. I feel like I didn't even have to earn this one but bless you! :D
Ha...your usual creative take on things. Cool! This looks like it could be a cover for The New Yorker to me!
Wow! Can't imagine what else you'd do to this. Love it. such energy and beautiful color, and your signature whimsical view. It's great, Camille!
I agree with everything everyone else said. It's wonderful. I love the movement and color. Truly unique. Love it!
