Ducks

8 x 10 oil on canvas
I saw these ducks at Canyon Lake this past Sunday afternoon. They had just caught sight of people with french fries, which they love, and they also liked my hulled sunflower seeds. I'm a huge fan of ducks; we used to have some that hung out in our back yard in Dallas that overlooked Turtle Creek. We had a treehouse, and not a care in the world. I guess ducks take me back to that time. I remember listening to Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass, and my dad would grill burgers while they ambled around our yard. This one is for Edward Burton on our website The Flying Moleskins.

I love this! It looks so photorealistic at first glance but I love seeing the texture and brush strokes when you look more closely. Beautiful painting!

I love the ducks, Camille! Plus you did such a beautiful job with the water and reflections. Sounds like wonderful memories.

I have fond memories of crisp autumn mornings and the sound of shotgun blasts and feathers flying everywhere. Ahh...good times. Nice piece.

Absolutely gorgeous blues and greens and a perfect capture of how beautiful nature is. Now I'm concerned about the ducks eating French Fries. Can't possibly be good for 'em (I know, because they aren't doing me any good either! LOL).

Nice one Camille. Did the ducks have to fight Richard for the french fries.
