Barefoot and Pregnant

12 x 16 oil on panel  SOLD
These two goats weren't sure what to make of my taking their pictures yesterday. The pregnant female froze in her tracks and didn't move for about three minutes while I was clicking away. I wanted to reassure her that I wouldn't do them any harm. I had a long conversation with a wild turkey in a tree one time, but so far I don't speak goatese. I guess I should work on that, I'll put it on my list.

Yes you need to practice your Goatese. I had a pet Nigerian dwarf goat. She had a very distinctive personality, just like a dog. I've been meaning to paint her, your painting has inspired me to try it this weekend.
Thanks Doug

What a lovely couple here! I find myself feeling quite sorry for that load she is carrying in her middle! LOL 'Course, having been there, I can relate. Anyway, love that wonderful ground and the way she is cocking her head at you. I'm assuming that is the mister behind her and he is making sure she is safe and sound.
